VRcadia is a virtual reality gaming lounge, headquartered in London, Ontario, located at the crown of the Richmond Row area, where customers rent the use of a virtual reality booth typically by the hour. About the Position: VR Experiences Host

VRcadia is currently recruiting for the position of VR Experiences Host (“Host”), reporting to the General Manager of our London location. The Host will be responsible for promoting an outstanding virtual reality experience to our guests in accordance with VRcadia’s standards of operation. The applicant should become a subject matter expert on all things related to our VR services and can consistently deliver personalized VR experience for both new and returning customers.

Overview
  • Full-time position or part-time position(s) for consideration
  • $15 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Greeting patrons as they arrive for their scheduled sessions
  • Checking-in guests and assigning VR stations
  • Aiding patrons with completing liability waiver
  • Complete VR station bookings and refunds through the POS terminal
  • Assist VRcadia patrons with setup and use of the VR system
  • Technical support and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
  • Learning existing and new content to better assist customers and create specialized VR experience menus for different customer groups
  • Cleaning hardware after usage
  • Facilitate groups working together
  • Assist customers while in VR to have an excellent experience
  • Performing opening and closing procedures
  • General cleaning
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as needed
Qualifications

About the Position: VR Experiences Coordinator

 VRcadia is currently recruiting for the position of VR Experiences Coordinator (“Coordinator”), reporting to the General Manager of our London location. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating VRcadia’s various processes, from marketing and sales to customer experience and maintenance. The coordinator must be well-versed in VRcadia’s standards and must maintain a fun and safe workplace. The Coordinator will work directly with the General Manager to set tasks and implement VRcadia’s marketing and sales strategy.

About the Position: VR Systems Technician

VRcadia is currently recruiting for the position of VR Systems Technician (“Technician”), reporting to the General Manager of our London location. The Technician will conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to ensure that our VR Systems maintain the highest industry standards. The technician is accountable for the safe installation, testing, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of gaming equipment. Although the games and associated equipment will be their primary responsibility, they may also be asked to maintain or repair other equipment within the building.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute the repair of gaming equipment;
  • Execute preventative maintenance program for gaming machines;
  • Perform necessary maintenance changes on gaming systems;
  • Provide occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training;
  • Install supports, software and working ability of gaming equipment;
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate gaming systems;
  • Conduct preventive maintenance diagnostics;
  • Complete repairs to equipment, and all other services that the machine requires;
  • Maintain, operate, and repair gaming systems and associated equipment;
  • Perform assigned equipment inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting customer satisfaction and operations;
  • Respond effectively to all issues;
  • Perform all preventive and corrective maintenance in full compliance with applicable programs, best industry practices and manufacturer’s recommended practices;
  • Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work, and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken;
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Adhere to all health and safety requirements by the organization;
  • Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them;
  • Maintain compliance with Federal, Provincial, Municipal, Ordinances, Codes, or Laws;
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

  • A minimum college diploma in Electronics or similar fields, and/or;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in related field;
  • Experience with gaming equipment repairs;
  • Experience in diagnosing and using preventative measures for gaming equipment;
  • Thorough knowledge of gaming equipment principles, equipment operation;

Work Conditions
  • Job requires ability to work with tools, pipes and materials;
  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet is required;
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required i.e. hard-hat, safety boots;
  • Hazards associated with the industry;
  • You will be required to carry a small inventory of personal tools.
